Kursalon Hübner famously known as kursalon is a music hall in Vienna, Austria that was designed and built by Johann Garben in 1867. The hall is designed in the style of Italian Renaissance and it is located in the heart of city centre park of Vienna. In earlier days Kursalon Vienna only served as a place for visitors to drink mineral water. But due to the booming tourist industry and increased competition this changed completely. The first ever concert that was held in kursalon was performed by Johann Strauss in 1868. This led kursalon to become the place of concerts and meetings and the first person ever to rent this place was a guy named Hans Hubner hence the last name Hubner. Great concerts held in Kursalon Vienna In late 1990s the Kursalon Vienna was purchased by Hubner family from the city government. Today Kursalon has become one of the major tourist attractions with approximately 500 concerts held every year with over 200,000 visitors. Not only the concerts of Mozart, Strauss, etc is played here but it is also popular for extravagant balls, weddings and conferences. It has four ballrooms on two floors with a spacious terrace and an amazing restaurant. The Strauss and Mozart concert that are held in Kursalon have magical feel to it. This is the place where Johann Strauss himself led his orchestra which gives you the feeling of being part of history. The amazing music and great melodies is performed by renowned Salonorchester Alt Wien along with opera singers and ballet dancers. The run time of the concert is 2 hours including 15 minutes of intermission. The vienna opera tickets are available in four tiers VIP, A, B, and C. The VIP packages include glass of champagne during intermission that is priced at 99 Euros. Other ticket price ranges from 69 to 59 to 45 Euros.
